India's Most Trusted Vitiligo Treatment — Your Solution for Even Skin Tone
Benoquin Cream contains monobenzone, a depigmenting agent used to permanently lighten skin. It is prescribed for patients with extensive vitiligo (affecting more than 50% of the body) to achieve an even skin tone.
Manufactured by MAC Medilife Pvt Ltd since the 1970s, Benoquin has been the gold standard in vitiligo care in India. As a topical depigmenting agent, monobenzone works by destroying melanocytes — the cells responsible for producing melanin pigment in the skin.
Monobenzone causes permanent depigmentation by destroying melanocytes (pigment-producing cells) in the skin. It is applied topically to areas of normal skin surrounding vitiligo patches, gradually achieving a uniform, lighter skin tone.
Depigmentation typically takes 1–4 months to become apparent, with complete results in 9–12 months. Treatment duration varies depending on the individual's response and the extent of vitiligo. Continue use only as directed by your healthcare provider.
Important: Do not apply Benoquin to areas of skin affected by vitiligo. Apply only to normally pigmented skin to achieve even depigmentation.
Use before the expiry date printed on the packaging. Do not use if the cream has changed colour, consistency, or odour. Discard any unused cream after the expiry date.
Prescription Only: Benoquin should only be used under the supervision of a qualified dermatologist for the treatment of extensive vitiligo. It causes irreversible depigmentation.
Common: Mild redness, dryness, or irritation at the application site. These effects are usually temporary and subside with continued use. Rare: Contact dermatitis, excessive dryness, or sensitivity reactions. Consult your doctor if any unusual symptoms occur.
